The Ruin is a bastion of hope for all those burdened by The Blight that infects the world of Embren. Hope of staving off their inevitable death from the very thing that empowers them, hope of building a community from those who are cast off from society, and vengeance against all those who abandoned them in the Blightsunk. These dregs of Embren’s society; crippled, plagued, and transfigured through the chorus of Blight are living weapons. Blight sickness is an inevitable death sentence, but for the Ruin; it enthralls them, empowers them. This power coils and pulses throughout their bodies, dirges ringing in their mind and a marching tune that only they can follow. Ruin comes for all who have cast them aside.
GAMEPLAY
The Ruin has a number of special rules that interact with around the Blight gameplay mechanic. Many of their weapons will apply Blight rather than wounds. Some of their special abilities and blightdirges allow them to manipulate the Blight that is on the battlefield as well. Some members of the Ruin become even more powerful depending on how Blighted they are. However, there is always a tightrope walk between life and death for these abandoned souls.
